What we collect while The Model Company is in preview, why, and who processes it.
The demo: what stays in your browser
Demo jobs, the datasets you upload and the models you create in the demo live in your browser's storage. They aren't sent to us. Clearing your site data removes them.
Invited workspaces: real training
If we invite you to train real models, starting a job sends us the columns you chose: the text, its label and, if you pick them, what your current system answered and when. Nothing else from your file is sent. Email addresses and long numbers (phone, card and account numbers) are masked before we store anything. If you run a model in shadow mode, or let it answer live calls, your own systems send us each call's input, your current model's answer and, later, its outcome; these are masked the same way. We keep your examples, models, jobs and shadow calls in your workspace, reachable only with its invite link, until you delete them. If you turn on the comparison with general-purpose AI, a sample of your held-out examples (masked the same way) is sent to Anthropic's API to be labelled.
Early-access requests
When you request early access we collect your work email, what you'd like your model to do if you tell us, and the campaign and page your visit started from. We store this in HubSpot, our customer-relationship tool, and use it only to contact you about early access and to understand which work people want models for.
Analytics and advertising
We use Google Analytics to count visits and steps in the product (for example, starting or finishing a demo job), and the Google Ads and LinkedIn tags to measure whether our ads lead to early-access requests. These services set cookies and receive your IP address and browser details. We don't sell personal data. You can block these tags with your browser's privacy settings or a content blocker without affecting the product.
Keeping and removing your data
We keep early-access requests until real training opens or you ask us to delete them. Deleting a model from its page removes it, its jobs, its examples and its shadow calls from our servers. To see, correct or delete anything else we hold about you, including a whole workspace, email privacy@themodelcompany.example.
